New Wines From Claire Naudin
Crocuses are pushing through, daffodils are beginning to appear, spring is in sight, even if it is difficult to see through all the rain.
It’s the beginning of the season of new beginnings and we have wines from Claire Naudin now landed with us.
Over the past few years, Claire Naudin’s work in the Hautes-Côtes de Beaune has quietly become some of the most compelling in Burgundy. Her wines balance precision and wildness, classical sensibility and experimentation. Working largely without sulphur and without filtration, she produces wines that are transparent, textural and increasingly hard to get hold of.
Domaine Henri Naudin-Ferrand
The wines under the Henri Naudin-Ferrand label lean more classical in style, with careful use of sulphur and destemming to preserve varietal clarity and freshness. We are offering the new vintage of Aligoté Mallon, a textured, citrus-led white with notes of dill, stone fruit and toasted marshmallow.
Claire Naudin
Claire’s eponymous wines from the Hautes-Côtes are made without sulphur and are bottled unfiltered. They speak clearly of site and season. We are offering two expressions of Bellis Blanc this year, the classic Bellis, and a long-élevage cuvée which spent extended time in barrel, adding weight, savoury depth and further ageing potential.
Also available are La Plante Bourgogne Pinot Noir, a pure, lifted expression with bright red fruit and mineral drive, and A023, a structured, serious Aligoté with saline depth and Claire’s recommendation to cellar.
BiNaume
A collaboration between Claire and her husband Jean-Yves Bizot, BiNaume is a separate project exploring whole-cluster, no-addition winemaking with a light touch. After early vintages in Saint-Pourçain, this is now their second year working in Beaujolais. The 2024 La Gamay Bully is once again a standout, vibrant and spiced, with muscular tannins, juicy red fruit and savoury lift, showing the clarity and finesse that defines this partnership.
Alongside these arrivals, we are also offering the 2023 Échezeaux, with pricing available on request.
